abstract

The Snowy Owl is a resident species, spread in the Arctic zone. Sometimes itmakes irregular dispersial movements to the south. It inhabits the hilly tundraand rocky coasts. It nests on the ground. Separate individuals may reach the Temperate zone during their nomadic migrations (Harrison, 1982).
