abstract

The few studies available on Great Bustarddiet were carried out in Spain (Palacios et al.,1975; Lucio, 1985; Caballero, 2002) and EasternEurope (see Cramp & Simmons, 1980) andwere based on stomach analysis. Even fewerdata exist on the seasonal variation in diet composition,as only Lane et al. (1999), usingfaecal analysis, assessed fluctuations throughoutthe year in North-west Spain.
