abstract

The Brown Noddy (Anous stolidus) breeds in the tropics and subtropics as far north as the northern Bahamas and the Dry Tortugas, Florida. In winter it stays in warm tropical or subtropical waters, usually within 100 km of nesting colonies (Chardine and Morris 1996).
